Are you or your child having trouble with worry, irritability, perfectionism or sadness?
You’ve tried to help every way you know how, but nothing seems to be working. There is the frustration of dealing with systems and professionals who are often unhelpful and misinformed. The exhaustion of looking for an answer in books, articles and the well-meaning but sometimes judgmental advice of others.
I know the struggle of being labeled “gifted” or talented while also dealing with unique emotional, behavioral and/or learning needs. I have been there and I speak that language. I know what it's like to be a overwhelmed by big emotions. To take out those feelings of confusion and anger on the people closest to you.
I also know there’s a way out. Change is possible. You and your child can experience the fun and excitement of life again. You can go to family events and enjoy spending time together instead of being on guard for possible outbursts. Children, teens, adults and families need a therapeutic space to build the social-emotional skills to succeed. I can help.
I have made it my mission to be trained in the most well-researched treatments for adult, child and family mental health (see my qualifications below). I have seen the transformative power of effective, compassionate therapy. I have seen people regain their confidence and ability to enjoy their lives. I have seen families feel more connected and secure. It won’t be perfect, it will take hard work, but it will definitely be worth it. I believe that everyone can have access to the hope, joy and fun that makes life worth living. Helping people get there has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
